Facial Treatments for an At-home Spa Retreat- Skin Perfection Natural and Organic Skin Care

Spa Treatments

At-home spa treatments using natural and organic recipes! Going organic can be super rewarding. When your skin is happy, that can make your outlook on life rosy

and lift your mood. What's even better is making your own organic at-home spa facial treatments with essential oils.

Take the time to pamper yourself! Here at Skin Perfection, we know that you don't always have the time to make it to the spa, nor is it cost-effective. So we have come up with some great facial treatments for an affordable at-home spa retreat day!

Let's start with a hair mask! Even though it's not a facial treatment, I love to do a hair mask. It makes your hair soft and smooth, just as if you have walked out of the salon.

Recipe for a Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup of Mayo
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • Avocado (optional)
  • Banana (optional)
  • Oatmeal (optional)
Directions: Mix everything in a medium-sized bowl and then apply a generous amount and smooth it onto the hair. Use a shower cap or saran wrap to hold the moisture in and keep it from dripping. After 45 minutes (or after your other spa treatments), rinse off the mixture and shampoo.

Body Scrub from Head to Toe

Then, a full-body scrub. Try one of our great scrubs! Our favorites are the Lavender Short Bread Scrub and the Brown Sugar Scrub. Before showering, use a scrub from head to toe, starting from your ankles and working your way up the body, paying particular attention to any areas prone to dry, dead skin.

Once you've reached your neck, start again at the feet. Then, turn on the shower, and being careful not to wet your hair, scrub at your heels as you rinse your body. Follow it up with a moisturizing lotion, like our aloe and jojoba lotion!

Facial Steam

After you have showered, slip into a pair of warm pajamas. Fix a cup of relaxing tea: heat about a quart of water in a saucepan on the stove. Set aside enough water for your drink, and then take the rest of the water off the heat. Using a towel as a shroud, place your face over the mist.

Let your face steam for five to ten minutes. You can even apply some essential oils before you do facial steam for acne or age-fighting power!
  • Acne: 1-2 drops Tea Tree Oil
  • Mature/Dry Skin: 1-2 drops Rose
  • Aging: Frankincense 1-2 drops
  • Calming: 2-3 drops Lavender or Chamomile
  • Large Pores: 2-3 drops Eucalyptus

Once your facial is over, take your Stoney Field Organic Yogurt out of the refrigerator. Apply it all over your face. While this mask sits for 5 to 20 minutes, eat some breakfast, maybe some yogurt and granola? Then, drink your tea and relax! The lactic acid in yogurt helps to remove dead cells and leave your face moisturized and smooth!
