Anti-Aging Peptide for Puffy Eyes Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5
If your eyes are beginning to look a little puffy, Eyeseryl® peptide solution helps reduce the accumulation of fluid trapped in the under-eye area.
EyeSeryl is Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, a peptide booster used at 1 to 10% in eye formulas for the look of smoother, less puffy under-eyes.
This is a formulation ingredient, not a finished serum. Do not apply it undiluted.
INCI: Glycerin, Water (Aqua), Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5
Three ingredients. Supplied as Solution G, preservative-free and paraben-free, in a 0.5 oz blue glass dropper bottle.
Because it contains no preservative, add one to your finished blend — Leucidal Liquid or Leucidal Complete at 2–4% — and keep it refrigerated.
Recommended usage rate is 1 to 10%. Using our house rate of 9 drops per 1% per fluid ounce:
| Concentration | Into 1 oz | Into 2 oz |
|---|---|---|
| 1% | 9 drops · 0.3 g | 18 drops · 0.6 g |
| 5% | 45 drops · 1.5 g | 90 drops · 3.0 g |
| 10% | 90 drops · 3.0 g | 180 drops · 6.0 g |
Full conversions on the serum booster chart.
In the manufacturer's clinical testing — 20 women aged 18 to 65 — 70% showed at least a 30% improvement by day 15, and 95% showed improvement by day 60, measured on the appearance of under-eye puffiness.
These findings are the manufacturer's, from their efficacy dossier, and are reproduced here under our licence agreement with them. They describe testing of the raw material rather than of a finished blend, so your result depends on the concentration you use and how consistently you apply it.
Applying it cold helps. A blend straight from the fridge feels better on tired eyes than one at room temperature.
EyeSeryl handles the look of puffiness. For the look of under-eye shadows, add Haloxyl at 1–3% to the same formula — the two are commonly used together in eye products.
Refrigerate on arrival. Preservative-free, so keep it cold and use it within a reasonable window.
For external use only. Cosmetic grade. Do not apply undiluted to skin. Avoid direct contact with the eye. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
I have two questions. I have been using this for three weeks for under eye puffiness and don't notice a difference yet. Any idea how long it may take to show a difference? Also, I use this under my eyes and use another peptide for my whole face and neck. Would it be ok to add the eyeseryl to the one I was on my face and neck as well, in order to save having to use two separate mixes? Or is it better to only use eyeseryl around the eyes?
Everyone is different. Some users will see results with peptides within the first week, others a month, and some it takes longer. Products with collagen builders can take up to 6 months to see improvement. There are multi factors that contribute to the signs of aging. We recommend that you give all peptides 2 months of regular use, twice a day to see results. Depending on the issues faced, there are some things you can do to enhance your results. For the eye area and puffiness, apply your eye cream cold. You can also add a tightener to help with slack and improve elasticity, Pepha Tight is really great for this. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water daily as puffiness is due to fluids being built up and not released. Also, look at your diet and time of year. Right now, it is allergy season and those can play a major role. If your under-eye area is also dry, hydrate with patches or Hyaluronic Acid.
Eyeseryl inhibits glycation, this is what happens when too much sugar is consumed. AGE's or Advanced glycation endproducts cause premature aging and the breakdown of collagen and elastin. So yes, your face and neck serum would benefit from Eyeseryl.
Would the Eyeseryl be effective using a drop or two daily in my eye cream?
Thank you for your interest in enhancing your eye care routine with Eyeseryl (Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5). It's great to hear that you are looking to maximize the benefits of your eye cream!
Eyeseryl is indeed a potent peptide known for its efficacy in reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. However, when it comes to adding active ingredients like Eyeseryl to an existing product, it's crucial to ensure that the concentration is correct to achieve the desired effects without compromising the stability or safety of the product.
We recommend following the manufacturer's guidelines for adding any active ingredient to a pre-made base or finished product. This ensures that you achieve an effective and safe concentration.
Can this be mixed into an eye serum with vitamin C?
Yes! Eyeseryl can be used in any eye serum, including one with Vitamin C.
