Skin Perfection won Best Serum and Best Lotion at the 2025 Dirty Thinkers' Choice Awards
The short version: Skin Perfection won two categories at the 2025 Dirty Thinkers' Choice Awards — Best Serum for the 1% GHK-Cu Copper Peptide Serum, and Best Lotion for the Glow Up Whipped Tallow Balm. The awards are decided by Think Dirty community vote, not by a panel or an ad budget. Skin Perfection was the first independent peptide skincare brand to take both categories in the same year.
The two products that won
- Best Serum — 1% GHK-Cu Copper Peptide Serum. A 0.5 oz finished serum standardized to 1% pure GHK-Cu, for face, hairline and scalp. The percentage is on the label, the way it should be.
- Best Lotion — Glow Up Whipped Tallow Balm. A 4 oz whipped balm made from 100% grass-fed tallow and honey.
What the Dirty Thinkers' Choice Awards are
The awards are run by Think Dirty, the independent product-comparison app founded in 2013 by Lily Tse after her mother's cancer diagnosis. The app rates more than 3.4 million products from over 12,300 brands on a 0-to-10 scale based on published ingredient research, and users have run more than 66 million product scans making purchase decisions.
Two things make this award different from most beauty awards. Products have to clear Think Dirty's ingredient screening before they can be nominated at all. And the winners are chosen entirely by consumer vote — app users, newsletter subscribers, and people who read labels for a living or for their health. Nobody buys a place on that list.
What it says about how we formulate
We publish the number. Luxury brands hide behind "proprietary blends." Budget brands dilute actives until there's nothing left to work with. We print the exact concentration on the label — 1% GHK-Cu, 20% Matrixyl 3000, 25% Argireline, 20% Pepha-Tight — and we list every ingredient by its full INCI name. You should not need a chemistry background to find out what you are putting on your face.
Clinical-strength shouldn't cost $200 an ounce. We use amino acid complexes at concentrations that reflect the published research, and we price them so people can actually use them daily rather than saving them for special occasions.
It's formulated by the person who answers your questions. Kari Thomas has spent more than 20 years as a cosmetic formulator and holds a Certificate of Natural Preservation. Every Skin Perfection formula is built in-house, not white-labeled and re-branded.
Our customers read labels. DIY formulators, people managing sensitivities, people who want to know the "why" behind an ingredient. That audience does not vote for packaging. This result says the information mattered.
