Haloxyl is a peptide complex used at 1 to 3% in eye formulas for the look of under-eye shadows and a more even-looking eye area.

This is a formulation ingredient, not a finished serum. Do not apply it undiluted.

What is in the bottle

Worth noticing: the last two are the same amino acid sequences that make up Matrixyl 3000. Haloxyl pairs them with chrysin, a flavonoid found in blue passion flower, and N-hydroxysuccinimide.

These findings are the manufacturer's and describe testing of the raw material rather than of a finished blend. Your result depends on the concentration you use and how consistently you apply it.

How to use it

  1. Choose an eye serum, cream, gel — or even a concealer.
  2. Add the drops for a 1 to 3% blend.
  3. Cap and shake well, or stir it through thoroughly if you are working into a cream.
  4. Refrigerate what you are not using.
  5. Apply morning and night, patting gently around the orbital bone. Keep it out of the eye itself.

Blending it into a concealer you already own is the quickest way to try it — no reformulating required.

What to pair it with

Haloxyl handles the look of shadows. For the look of puffiness, add EyeSeryl at 1–10% to the same formula. The two are commonly used together, and between them they cover the two things people notice most about tired eyes.

Chrysin is a potent antioxidant from the Blue Passion Flower. It is a naturally occurring phytochemical from plants. It helps the body eliminate pigment from blood deposits that are responsible for making dark circles.

Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 is a four-strand amino acid with the sequence glycine-glutamine-proline-arginine that reduces inflammation and regenerates the skin.

Depending on your particular skincare needs, add a 1-3% concentration of your homemade lotion or serum or an existing skincare product of your choice.

Once done, replace the cap on your Haloxyl bottle and store it in the refrigerator to keep it fresh and potent for the next time you need to use it. The container's blue tint will protect it from light damage, and the chilled temperature will prevent oxidation and dilution.

For a 3% concentration of Haloxyl in a 1-ounce skincare product, bulk base, or formula, add 27 drops.

Haloxyl is a water-based serum booster and needs to be added to Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe, Hydrosol or other water soluble base. We do carry a few oil-based serum boosters like a Teprenone that you could add to Castor oil.

It will depend on the size of your base. For example, if you're eye cream is .25 ounce, and you want to add a 3% concentration of Haloxyl then you would add seven drops into your base.
QCan Haloxyl be used with any of your other boosters?

Yes! Our Serum Boosters can be used with other boosters, including Haloxyl.  The only rule is to not use Copper Peptide with Vitamin C as they negate each other.
Qhow do you measure 1%, or 2% or 3% of the serum to what amount of product, eg: an eye cream? Is it by weight or can it be done by drops? Please Advise.

With your order, we include a brochure with detailed instructions. There is a chart that will give you the amount to add by drops. We also provide helpful conversions so you can add the Serum Booster by teaspoons or weight. To get the most accurate measurements, you would need to add the booster by weight with a scale.

All of our Serum Boosters are anti-aging ingredients are for lotion making. They need to be mixed before use. They should not be applied directly to the skin. Haloxyl can be used at 3% in an eye cream. You would need to add 27 drops into 1 ounce.

Haloxyl is a water-soluble anti-aging ingredient and will not dissolve in squaline oil. Most of the Serum Boosters are water soluble and we recommend using them in a base of Hyaluronic Acid or in your existing skincare product.
