Matrixyl 3000

Matrixyl 3000 is an anti-aging peptide comprised of two proteins. It is used to target a wide range of aging signs, which helps your skin look and act more youthful.

To diminish the signs of aging, it promotes collagen and elastin in the under-layers of the skin. It feeds our stores of glycosaminoglycan and fibroblasts, strengthening the connective tissue to firm aging complexions. Plus, it supports vibrant skin through the cessation of blemishes and the removal of impurities.

If you’ve ever looked at your face and been unhappy to see even the most minor signs of aging, you may want to check out this ingredient.

Getting older is a part of life, and as we age, so do our complexions. We can’t completely prevent it from ever happening. But we can certainly prevent it from happening sooner than it should and even help decrease its severity once it begins happening.

What is Matrixyl 3000?

It is an incredible anti-aging peptide. A peptide is a protein that is part of the building block of our cells. Peptides help our cells communicate. These proteins can be found naturally in your skin, but these peptides can't do their job as they used to as we inevitably age.

Thus, aging begins, and we start to see the first signs. You know the signs of aging - wrinkles, lines, dullness, sagging, discolorations, dryness, etc.

Using products with a high concentration of Matrixyl can help improve all of these imperfections. Matrixyl supports the production of collagen in your skin.

Using Matrixyl, the collagen your face has lost will begin to be replaced, and your skin will look and feel fuller and more youthful.

Try adding Matrixyl into your skincare routine to receive its amazing benefits. You can even add a few drops of pure Matrixyl 3000 directly into your favorite serums and moisturizers for a boost of anti-aging benefits.

Collagen is what makes the skin look full and plump. When we are young, we have plentiful stores of collagen. Even when it is cross-linked, our bodies can easily replace it. As we age, however, the skin becomes less able to restore these collagen layers.

The once healthy collagen layers begin to break down. Your once youthful complexion starts to look sunken and sallow. The same process occurs with elastin.

Eventually, elastin is broken down and unable to retract as it once did with collagen, and elastin deposits are significantly depleted, the skin sags and wrinkles. Because it is missing two of its most vital components, it might also look dull and discolored.

Matrixyl 3000 fights both the wrinkled, sagging skin, discolorations, and dryness. The most common signs of aging are reduced peptide production or utilization. Matrixyl 3000 steps into this role, mimicking the body’s natural peptides, to signal that the skin needs more collagen and elastin.

It stimulates the skin to produce these two components again. Replenish your complexion as the natural deposits are restored; the surface of your appearance can appear fuller, more resilient, and returned to its youthful beauty.

As a bonus, one of the side effects of Matrixyl 3000 is the production of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid provides food and nourishment that also moisturizes.

Elastin regenerates the cells. They are better able to hold moisture and therefore look fuller and younger. By creating more of the body’s favorite moisturizer, Matrixyl 3000 helps fill depleted cells with hydration.

Women who use Matrixyl 3000 see a reduction in the look of wrinkles and sagging skin. Skin appears and feels firmer and more resilient to the touch. It also looks more vibrant and healthier because of the moisturizing properties. Unlike other ingredients prone to irritating the skin or taking drastic measures, like paralyzing muscles under the skin, Matrixyl 3000 is safe to use on even the most sensitive skin. It is a favorite additive in many anti-aging serums and creams.

Clinical Studies of Matrixyl 3000

Matrixyl 3000 is one of the most loved peptides and is widely used in anti-aging products. You will be amazed at how it takes years off of your complexion. In a clinical study, Matrixyl 3000 was applied topically by 23 individuals, ages 39 to 74.

They used a 3% concentration for two months. The results improved collagen and hyaluronic acid, decreasing the signs of aging—the depth of wrinkles and furrows reduced, and the enhanced tone and elasticity. Matrixyl 3000 also produced better effects than its predecessor, Matrixyl.

Add this remarkable anti-aging peptide to your skincare routine, and you will see why women rave about the youthful impact of Matrixyl.

In 2013, a new study came out, confirming what we have known all along about Matrixyl. It works and helps to take years off your appearance in just a short time. Helping you look 5 to 10 years younger in no time.

Matrixyl 3000 is one of the best anti-aging peptides available today. It is a tried-and-true anti-aging ingredient used by many men and women. Its top-notch reputation makes it one of the most loved peptides. Plus, it has the studies backing the results!

Benefits of Matrixyl
  • Youth-boosting peptide
  • Increased firmness and decreased sagging
  • Improved hydration and moisture retention

Is Matrixyl 3000 Safe?

Yes! This peptide has been used for almost two decades by men and women. Aging is a natural process. Many environmental factors affect the rate at which our skin ages. You can improve these changes by incorporating Matrixyl into your skincare routine. SkinMedica and many other leading cosmetic companies have used Matrixyl in their anti-aging products because it is safe and well-tolerated by individuals. For most, peptides don't have any side effects. If you have sensitive skin or use a higher than recommended concentration, you may get a little red or have a minor itch where the applied cream. These are so minimal; most individuals don't notice any side effects. People love this anti-aging ingredient because it provides visible results for younger-looking complexions.

In 2016, Matrixyl 3000 is changing its ingredient name. Once declared: Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7, it is now:

Ingredients: Palmitoyl Tripeptide 1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7. Most products will still show the old international nomenclature of cosmetic ingredients but will have updated their labels by the end of 2018.

How do I use Matrixyl 3000?
For the best results, add the anti-aging peptide's highest concentration into your favorite serum or moisturizer. You can also make a homemade formulation using a base of Hyaluronic Acid. Use twice a day, morning and night.

Can I use it with a Derma Roller?
Yes! We recommend adding the peptide to a base of Hyaluronic Acid. The Hyaluronic Acid acts as a penetration enhancer, improving the benefits of Matrixyl on your skin.

Tips to Reduce the Signs of Aging with Matrixyl 3000
After age 35, our Hyaluronic Acid, collagen, and elastin levels dramatically decrease. You can combat these signs of aging by using supplements. Supplements can be taken internally or applied topically. Using topical and internal supplements, you can increase your body's levels and turn back the clock.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin cells hydrated.
  • Taking a supplement of Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen will restore levels from the inside.
  • Apply a topical application of Matrixyl 3000 and Hyaluronic Acid twice a day to boost volume and collagen.
If you have used Matrixyl in the last ten years, you know that it has undergone some changes. The "original Matrixyl" was a single peptide called 1999. And while it worked well, a newer and better version came along (that's when they introduced the 3000 version).

The latest version looked like this: Glycerin (and) Water (and) Butylene Glycol (and) Carbomer (and) Polysorbate 20 (and) Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (and) Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. In recent years, the Palmitoyl Oligopeptide was renamed and now referred to as Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1.
Matrixyl® 3000 VS Matrixyl® Synthe'6™ VS Syn-Tacks
If you are looking to improve your skin's epidermis matrix and boost collagen, you should use Matrixyl. But which one? The answer is both. Both are anti-aging ingredients that boost collagen production and improve the skin's elasticity, but they do it in different ways.

If you are looking for a peptide to help you look younger, choose 3000. If you want to fill in the look of wrinkles, then choose S-6. If you are only going to choose one peptide, we generally recommend going with the 3000.

We already know that Matrixyl 3000 sends messengers to encourage natural collagen production. Most individuals see younger-looking skin within the first month of use. Matrixyl® Synthe'6™ is a peptide called Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 38 that comprises two amino acids, lysine and methionine sulfone.

Its job is to stimulate collagen production of Collagen I, III, and IV. Each number has a specific function.
  • I Helps to support the dermis.
  • III Is the youth collagen; it provides nutrients to our fibroblasts.
  • IV Boosts the production of collagen and elastin.
Plus, it increases our body's ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid naturally. Using both in combination helps fill in the look of wrinkles (especially on the forehead) and provides a lifting effect with visibly plumper skin, all for a more youthful look with fast results.

Syn-tacks is another well-known peptide with multifunctions. You'll love the age-defying boost that helps your skin look younger, just like Matrixyl 3000, but it also firms and tightens sagging skin while improving the skin's hydration level. Thus reducing the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. While Syn-Tacks is not a replacement for Matrixyl 3000, it's an excellent alternative to use to change up your skincare routine. It allows you to keep your skin guessing. This way, your skin won't become used to using the same peptides.

Argireline vs. Matrixyl

It is like comparing apples to oranges. Yes, they are both anti-aging, but they target different signs of aging. Matrixyl is youth-boosting, whereas Argireline is wrinkle-relaxing. Many companies use Argireline like The Ordinary, Asterwood, and Timeless.

There are also many versions of Matrixyl and Vitamin C, Matrixyl and Argireline plus Vitamin C Serums, Matrixyl peptide serum, Matrixyl®3000 with Syn-ake, Argireline Cream, Timeless Coenzyme Q10 Serum with Matrixyl 3000.

Be careful where you buy your products, as many of these companies use peptides made in China and are not of high quality. And they use the bare minimum concentrations.

Hyaluronic Acid and Matrixyl 3000 for Effortless Beauty

If you are looking for a pure, clean beauty serum, try an 8% concentration of Matrixyl in a base of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid hydrates your skin with loads of moisture. It acts as a plumping sponge. The gel soaks up into the skin quickly, delivering Palmitoyl Tripeptide 1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7.

Hyaluronic Acid is a penetration enhancer. It gives your complexion added volume and plumps out fine lines and wrinkles. And, of course, the Matrixyl helps your skin look younger. This custom blend is excellent for those with sensitive skin, as it is fragrance-free. There are no fillers or chemical additives, so you know what you are applying to your face.

You can add many peptides to this pure serum for those who need to target other skin concerns. If you have discolorations, you will want to add Haloxyl. You can also dab a small amount under your eyes to target under-eye discolorations. If your skin is sagging in the jowl area, add in Pepha Tight.

For overall firming, add in Uplevity or Relistase in addition to the Pepha Tight. These peptides will make a super-charged tightening serum.

If you are beginning to see deep wrinkles, you will want to add in Snap 8 and a skin-smoother such as Syn-Ake. Syn-Ake is the best smoother for vertical creases; it also helps with lip lines and the pesky laugh lines around the mouth. The goal is to create a super-charged serum that targets your specific skin concerns.

What is the difference between Matrixyl and Matrixyl 3000?

In 1999, Sederma released the first version of Matrixyl. It was a single peptide. And it is loved by the skincare community and major cosmetic companies. They knew they had stumbled onto something big. The anti-aging peptide was later improved, and the first version of Matrixyl 3000 was born. Since then, the formula has been updated with two peptides that help your skin look visibly younger and fresher.
