Syn-Ake is used at 1 to 5% for the look of smoothed lines — particularly the vertical ones. It is the peptide formulators reach for when the concern is lip lines, the 11s between the brows, or forehead creases.

This is a formulation ingredient, not a finished serum. Do not apply it undiluted.

What is in the bottle

Clear liquid. Water-soluble. Vegan. Molecular weight under 500 Daltons, which is small as cosmetic peptides go.

No preservative. Add one to your finished blend — Leucidal Liquid or Leucidal Complete at 2–4% — and keep it refrigerated.

What it is for

Syn-Ake is the vertical-line peptide. Where Argireline is usually reached for on the forehead and crow's feet, Syn-Ake is the one for:

  • Lip lines and the vertical creases above the mouth
  • The 11s between the brows
  • Forehead lines
  • Laugh lines around the mouth

It also contributes to the look of a smoother, firmer surface generally, which is why it turns up in tightening formulas as well as line-focused ones.

How to use it

  1. Choose a water-based cream, serum or gel as your base.
  2. Add the drops for 1 to 5%.
  3. Add a preservative at 2–4% — this booster has none.
  4. Cap and shake, or stir it through a cream.
  5. Refrigerate what you are not using.

Give it time. Syn-Ake is cumulative — most people work with it for about a month before judging what it is doing.

If you have sensitive skin, patch test on the inside of the arm first, as with any new active.

What to pair it with

Syn-Ake layers with Argireline, Snap-8 and Inyline. All four work on the look of lines through different routes, so combining them is not doubling up on the same thing.

A common blend: Syn-Ake for the vertical lines, Argireline across the forehead, in a hyaluronic acid base.

Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate is a wrinkle-smoothing peptide that inhibits muscle contractions.

Add 45 drops to a 1-ounce skincare product, bulk base, or formula for a 5% concentration of Syn-Ake.

Add 18 drops of Syn-Ake to a 2-ounce skincare product, bulk base, or formula for a 1% concentration.

Syn-Ake is an anti-wrinkle cosmetic active used for formulating and is not intended for direct skin use. However, if you have sensitive skin, perform a patch test with this and all other ingredients.

Add enough drops of Syn-Ake to your favorite anti-aging cream or skincare product to achieve a 1-5% concentration. You can also use your own recipe. This will be enough to firm and tone your skin, significantly diminishing smile and frown lines as you continue using it.

Once you've added the peptide to your product, shake or stir. Then, put the cap back on the serum booster bottle and store it in the refrigerator. You do not need to refrigerate your finished formula. In just a few days, you will start seeing results.

Syn-ake also has a cumulative face-firming effect. Therefore, you should use it for at least 30 days until you see full firming results.

  • Can Syn-Ake be used all over the face and neck? Or, is it a target peptide to be used only on certain areas of the face?

    Syn-Ake can be used in an all-over face and neck serum or used as a spot treatment. It smooths out and relaxes lines

  • Is this the best peptide for forehead wrinkles?

    Syn-Ake is great for smoothing forehead wrinkles. It also works on vertical wrinkles including the 11's. We recommend using it with Snap 8, Syn-Coll and Uplevity or another tightener for a complete blend to target forehead wrinkles.

  • Can I add any of your boosters i.e. Syn-Ake, Matrixyl 3000, Relistase, and Juveleven to a pure aloe Vera base (I have my own plants)? And do you have a recipe I can use? I plan on adding some of your Hyaluronic Acid to this super serum.

    Yes, you can add any of our Serum Boosters, including, but not limited to, Syn-Ake, Matrixyl 3000, Relistase, and Juveleven Peptide to an Aloe Vera Base. Hyaluronic Acid would also make a great addition. You can find our recipes in the formulary.

  • I mixed this peptide with a serum. How long must I wait until I apply an oil to my face and sunscreen?

    As soon as it is dry, you can apply an oil. Generally, it should only take a few seconds to dry.

  • I purchased the syn-ake and i have been using for over 30 days. I have no tightening at all and the lines on the forehead are the same. I do not see a difference at all

    Make sure you are using a 5% concentration of Syn-Ake, two times a day. Using it with Pepha Tight (tightener), Syn Coll (collagen boost), Snap-8 (anti-wrinkle peptide) will boost its effectiveness.

  • Approximately how many drops are in the bottle? I need to know how far 1 bottle goes. Thank You

    There are approximately 300 drops in one .5 ounce bottle.

  • it's really difficult for me to count out 45 drops. How many pipettes would 45 drops be, roughly?

    5 drops shy of a half a teaspoon.
