DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate) is a white crystalline powder formulated for topical skin care use to support skin-firming and improved facial muscle tone. This 10g jar is water-soluble and intended for formulation use at a recommended concentration of 1-5%.

If you struggle with loss of firmness or visible fine lines, this powder helps you add a tightening active to your serums, creams, and lotions. Use it in neck serums, eye formulations, or anti-aging moisturizers to support the appearance of firmer skin when correctly formulated and preserved.

  • Recommended Use Rate 1-5% for finished topical formulations
  • Solubility: Water soluble, making it suitable for the water phase or final blend
  • Package 10g white crystalline powder in a jar with a silver lid
  • Vegan and free of added parabens, phthalates, and gluten
  • Formulator Guidance: Dissolve in distilled water if you are new to powder handling

Unlike many oil-soluble actives, DMAE is water-soluble and can be added to the water phase or at the end of a formulation to minimize destabilization. Compared to carrier oils or emulsified peptides, it is primarily used to support surface tightening and the appearance of muscle tone in topical products.

Store sealed in a cool, dark place to preserve stability. Consult a physician before use if you are pregnant, lactating, or have a medical condition. Used and recommended by experienced formulators for inclusion in neck serums and anti-aging products when applied at recommended rates.

  • DMAE Powder (Dimethylaminoethanol) Bitartrate Origin:

How does DMAE work?
DMAE has a tiny molecule size. As a result, it penetrates the skin easily, soaking into the lower layers of tissue quickly, tightening, and plumping.

Recommended Use: Add a concentration of 1-5% of DMAE Powder to your formula to achieve a 5% concentration of DMAE.

Pro Tip Add a small amount of the DMAE to your base. Make sure that it dissolves fully. If the powder does not dissolve, add the DMAE to water or glycerin in a 1:1 ratio and let it dissolve before adding.

For a 5% concentration in a 1 ounce base or skincare formula,
use 1 gram of powder.

Great for neck firmness, sagging neck skin, under-eye dark circles, nasolabial folds, and the appearance of wrinkles, including those on the forehead.

Suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin. It is typically well-tolerated by users and does not cause peeling, dryness, stinging, itching, or burning sensations when applied.

Ask a Question
  • What If making a serum what are the best products to mix DMAE powder with? Or can you use distilled water? Glycerin?

The DMAE can be added to the water phase of your formula. The water phase can be water or Glycerin based. Experienced formulators should only use this product without dissolving. If you are a beginner, try dissolving the crystals in distilled water before adding to your formulation.

  • Can you tell me please what is the source of your information on the use dosage? Have you recommendations on its dosage from the manufacturer of dmae powder? Please answer me clearly that your information is valid! I'm afraid to make a mistake and put a triple dose of dmae in case of a 3% - 10% match. What ph range is the 3-5% dmae solution? is dmae bitartrate acidic? Your answer is very important to me. Thank you very much.

The DMAE should be used at a 1-5% concentration. For example, if you have a 30 ml product, you would add .3 grams. For a 5% concentration, add 1.5 grams of DMAE powder. Most of the time, this powder can be added directly to the end of the formulation. You could also add it to the Water Phase or dissolve it at a 1:1 ratio if needed. You should always test a small amount to make sure it completely dissolves in your formula before adding it.

To find the PH of a DMAE solution, you can use a PH meter or test strip to measure it.

Our DMAE is neutralized with tartaric acid. Therefore, it is not the acidic version.

  • How do I make a 5% DMAE serum if I am making 2oz serum in distilled water?

To help with formula calculations, we do include an instructional product brochure with your purchase. It gives easy-to-follow charts and helpful conversions.

To calculate in teaspoons, you can find an online conversion chart. 5 grams of powder equals 1 teaspoon. For this formula, you would add 1/2 teaspoon plus .5 grams of DMAE powder.

  • How do I add this to an existing 4 oz cream? I would want the full benefit of the DMAE.

First, dilute the DMAE in a 1:1 ratio. Let dissolve. Then add to your base, shake or stir, and pour into a container. Using a 5% concentration will give you the best results.

  • How much DMAE powder do I add to the Ultimate Moisturizer for a 5% concentration?
