Syn-Coll is Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, used at 1 to 3% for the look of firmer skin and softened vertical lines. It is one of the easiest peptides to add to something you already own.

This is a formulation ingredient, not a finished serum. Do not apply it undiluted.

What it is for

Syn-Coll is used for the look of firmness, and it is particularly good on fine vertical lines — the ones that show up on the upper lip and between the brows.

A few drops into an eye cream or a serum you already own is the simplest way to use it. You do not need to reformulate anything.

What to pair it with

Syn-Coll and Matrixyl 3000 are the classic pairing — both sit in the firmness group but take different routes, so they complement rather than duplicate. Argireline and hyaluronic acid layer in cleanly on top.

Keep the combined total sensible. The base still has to be mostly base.

How to use it

  1. Choose a water-based serum, lotion or cream.
  2. Add the drops for 1 to 3%.
  3. Cap and shake well, or stir it through a cream.
  4. Refrigerate what you are not using.

  • I am new at the dog thing and I bought this. I am not sure about the amounts. I did not get a chart...I ordered from Amazon. And I want to put it in my anti ageing cream and my body butter. If I make four inches of product how many drops do I put in. And do I need a preservative?

    The chart is included in the bubble wrap along with the Serum Booster. Sometimes, they accidentally get thrown away. We are mailing you out a new chart. For a 3% concentration of Syn-Coll to a 4-ounce anti-aging cream, you will need to add 72 drops. If you are formulating a water-based cream from scratch, you need to add a preservative. If you are adding the Syn-Coll to a premade product, then you wouldn't need to add a preservative.
