Argireline (INCI: Acetyl Hexapeptide-8) is a cosmetic peptide used in formulas for the look of expression lines on the forehead, around the eyes and between the brows.

Mixing your own? Start with the Argireline Peptide Serum Booster. Add it at 10%, the top of its range, to a water-based serum or moisturizer, such as our hyaluronic acid serum. At 10%, that is 90 drops in 1 oz. For the newer version, Argireline Amplified goes in at 5%, or 45 drops in 1 oz.

Argireline vs Botox: Argireline is not Botox. It is often called "Botox in a bottle" because it was designed around the same SNARE pathway. Botox is an injected prescription drug. Argireline is a topical peptide, and because nothing is injected, many people see it as the safer choice.

What new research says (2026): A 2026 review in the journal Life looked across peptide skincare research and found that controlled human studies report improvements in the look of fine lines, skin hydration, and elasticity for some formulas. The same review is refreshingly honest. Many studies were small or short, and results depend on the specific formula, so no single peptide is a miracle ingredient.
