Beauty Juice: The All-in-One Peptide Serum You Make at Home

Beauty Juice is Skin Perfection's all-in-one expression line serum: four peptides in a hyaluronic acid base, each at its manufacturer's highest rate. Argireline and Snap-8 target the look of lines from repeated expressions, Syn-Ake targets the 11s and other vertical lines, and Matrixyl Synthe-6 adds a filler-type peptide for the look of deeper creases. Every ingredient is in this collection.

What the Research Measured

  • Argireline: in a placebo-controlled study of 60 people, an Argireline cream used around the eyes twice a day improved the look of crow's feet at 4 weeks.
  • Syn-Ake: DSM tested 4% Syn-Ake on 15 women aged 41 to 60 per group, twice daily for 28 days, measuring wrinkle roughness on the crow's feet and forehead (supplier data).
  • Matrixyl Synthe-6: in Sederma's supplier test at 2%, crow's feet wrinkle volume was 21.1% lower than placebo (supplier data).

The Beauty Juice Recipe

  1. Wash a glass beaker, mini whisk, funnel and airless bottle, spray with 70% isopropyl alcohol and let them dry.
  2. Pour 1 oz Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum into the beaker.
  3. Add 90 drops Argireline (10%), 90 drops Snap-8 (10%), 45 drops Syn-Ake (5%) and 18 drops Matrixyl Synthe-6 (2%). Our house rate is 9 drops = 1% per fluid ounce.
  4. Add 36 drops (4%) Leucidal Liquid. The Syn-Ake product page notes it contains no preservative, and the boosters dilute the base.
  5. Whisk gently for 2 minutes, funnel into a 1 oz airless bottle and put the extra (about 0.3 oz) in a small jar.
  6. Label with the date, refrigerate, and finish it within a month or two.

One bottle of Argireline or Snap-8 makes about three batches at 90 drops; Matrixyl Synthe-6 at 18 drops goes much further. Sensitive skin: patch test on the inner arm for 24 hours and start low (Argireline 2%, Snap-8 3%, Syn-Ake 1%), then work up over a few weeks.

How to Use Beauty Juice

Apply 2 to 3 pumps morning and night to clean skin, focusing on the forehead, between the brows, the outer eyes and smile lines, then follow with moisturizer and, in the morning, sunscreen. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best peptide combination for expression lines?

Argireline and Snap-8 are the most common pair for lines from repeated expressions, and Syn-Ake is added for vertical lines such as the 11s. Beauty Juice combines all three with Matrixyl Synthe-6 for the look of deeper creases.

Can you mix Argireline, Snap-8 and Syn-Ake?

Yes. All three are water-soluble and blend into a hyaluronic acid base. Use each at its top rate: Argireline and Snap-8 at 10%, Syn-Ake at 5%.

Is Syn-Ake better than Argireline?

They are different. Argireline is a six amino acid sequence often chosen for crow's feet and forehead lines, while Syn-Ake is a small dipeptide often chosen for the 11s, so many formulas use both.

How long does a homemade peptide serum last?

With a preservative and refrigeration, finish it within a month or two. Without a preservative, make a small batch and use it within about a week.

How long until I see results?

Hydration shows right away. The peptide studies measured changes at 4 weeks to 2 months, so use Beauty Juice twice a day for at least 8 weeks.
